Port Washington’s holiday spirit is in full force thanks to the brightly lit LED snowflakes that can be seen all over town.

The Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District and Home Run Electric recently installed these snowflake decorations for the holiday season.

“They truly add to the wonderful festive spirit displayed by our community during the holiday season,” Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio said in a press release.

For many years, the BID’s Board of Directors have worked with the Town of North Hempstead on installing these lights to improve the quality of life and overall image for Port Washington’s residents.

“Having our downtown streets lined with these snowflakes will certainly elicit the joyful feelings that embody this very special time of the year,” Supervisor Judi Bosworth said.

A member of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce was recently recognized for being named Port Washington’s 2015 Small Businessperson of the Year.

Giuseppe “Joe” DiBartolomeo is the owner of Home Run Electric, a full service electrical contracting firm that has been serving the Port Washington community, and Long Island, for over 25 years.
